About Me My education in Holistic Health and training in energy modalities, combined with my own personal experience of dealing with pain all provide me with the background and compassion to assist and support others in their journey to Wellness. Although I occassionally use and supplement my work with the various Holistic therapies mentioned on my website, I primarily use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) in my counseling sessions. EFT is the most effective tool I've found and it has good results on almost any problem or issue. Based on the feedback I've received from my clients, it seems that they benefit most from my ability to listen and to uncover the root of their problems. They tell me that I have a gentle and caring manner. And, I know for certain that I've been graciously blessed with a deep desire to help others heal. My EFT Story When I turned 40, I suffered a serious foot problem - the breakdown was so extreme that any walking or standing was painful. I suddenly lost my independence, and I had never imagined needing a cane while only in my 40’s. For years I tried traditional treatments, with no progress, which eventually led me to the world of holistic healing – it was a long journey but I’ve now regained almost all of my physical health, and I've grown both personally and spiritually. One of the tools I discovered in this journey was EFT. Although it did not magically cure my foot problem, it enabled me to deal with the emotions that were part of it – the depression over the loss of mobility, my frustration, discouragement and anger. And it helped me with pain management. And as I continued to use EFT, I found that it helped me with every difficult situation I faced. I started to feel lighter and happier about life in general. And my foot began to heal. I now teach EFT workshops and use it as the primary tool in my Wellness Counseling practice. I’ve seen people light up with joy as they release issues that have been holding them back for years. Who I Like to Work With I enjoy encouraging people who are interested in making a positive change in their life. I find it so hopeful to see people who want to tackle their issues and improve their lives. It's especially fun when I work with people who are open to a new way of approaching healing. Basically I enjoy being a partner to my client in their healing, by coaching and supporting them through the process of making these changes. Whether it's overcoming a fear, dealing with physical pain, a lack of motivation, weight loss, stress, self-esteem issues, or whatever the challenge may be. My Inspirations Gary Craig - for sharing this wonderful healing tool - EFT. His genuine spirit of healing radiates and has influenced me greatly. I am also motivated by many of the current spiritual and healing leaders such as Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer and Cheryl Richardson. Spending time each morning reading something spiritual or inspiring helps me to stay centered and light hearted. Qualifications EFT-CERT I EFT-CC, EFT-ADV B.S. Holistic Health from the American Institute of Holistic Theology Reiki Level II Ordained as a Minister of Healing with "The Many Paths Ministry" Teacher of EFT Wrokshops at The Mt. Airy Learning Tree, Phila. PA Other Techniques Reiki, Bach Flower Essences, and Aromatherapy - I use these as an adjunct to EFT if it seems like a good fit for the client.
